Assign a job to every drawer
Start with a tool and consumables manifest linked to actual tasks. Group items by the technician's sequence—diagnosis, setup, repair, test and closeout—rather than distributing them only by size. Give every drawer a defined owner and purpose so the case supports the handoff between shifts.
Record the tallest item, loose small parts, liquids or dirty tools separately. The verified product page confirms a six-drawer case category, but it does not prove internal dimensions, load behavior or suitability for your inventory; those facts must come from the buyer's measured kit.
Check motion, access and inventory visibility
Lay out each drawer with full hand access and confirm that handles, lids or protruding tools do not interfere with the drawer above. Observe the case in its expected working orientation and identify anything that can migrate between positions during routine handling.
Use labelled positions or shadow outlines where a missing item must be obvious. Reserve a separate location for returned, damaged or unverified parts so they cannot silently re-enter available stock. The layout should make the end-of-shift count faster without relying on memory.
Approve the workbox as a process
Issue the same manifest, drawer roles, transport orientation and replenishment process to every bidder. Request a drawer-by-drawer drawing, open assumptions and a revision reference. Quotes then remain comparable without unsupported claims about materials, capacity or protection.
Acceptance starts with a complete count, then packs, closes, moves, opens and performs a sample job before counting again. Drawer interference, mixed stock or poor reach becomes a documented correction before repeat production, and the final packing map stays with the workbox.
